You may not know it yet, but take a listen, and you'll know exactly what i mean when I say that this week's episode is a new step in the world of Ronnie Cross wednesdays! I can't give too much away, but I can for now at least say it may just drive you crazy! hehehe. ok, so 2 weeks ago I started my gay pride special, and for two weeks I made you put up with pure cheese.... all four hours of it! Well alas, we are back to schedule, and this week's show is a ground breaker. I'm starting to notice a few tracks come to mind when I hear the words "regular", "favorites" and "typical", and those tunes come in the shape of those like Eric Prydz' Shadows, Ernesto and Bastian's Super Jupiter, and artists like Martin Roth, Prydz in general, and Jaytech, all of which can be heard on this weeks show. Episode 12 - Brighton Gay Pride Special Pt2 - After Party in the Club

After last week's fiasco, I have been greatly anticipating this week's episode. Not only was last week's mix a discrace due to it being something like I've never done before, but then we had the whole fiasco of loosing the file, meaning we actually broadcasted a day later than expected! Well this week I can confirm that everything is in its place on time, and we have a show to deliver. Carrying on the Brighton Pride special, this week see's us in the club for the Brighton Pride after party, expressing artists that have gone down well in the gay scene such as Deep Dish, Tony de Vit and Solarstone, as well as bringing to the forefront those artists that we remember for their contribution to the gay arts over time, including Freddie Mercury and the Pet Shop Boys. Another week has gone by! It was a quick week, i'll give you that, and with all I've got going on at the moment I bet the next week will be just as quick, if not more-so! So what have I got in store from you for tonights episode? Well tonight I wanted to go back to my routes. I've noticed lately how techy im going, and whilst im a true believer that change is good, I also believe we should never forget who we realy are, and where we came from. I wanted to take the melodic strip which has stunned me so much for so many years, and to be able to present with with some of what I think are to become true classics in due course. Wow, I can't believe another week has flown by! Theres been some rapid weather changes here in england, and quite a week for myself in particular. I began writing the playlist for this week's show as soon as I finished the last show as I wanted to give you something special. Something unique that you havent heard before. Following the traditional format of including old and new, house, tech and trance, I think i've managed to formulate quite a treat :) The highlight of the show is probably the experimental aspect of it, mixing the regular (norm) with a selection such as coldplay, white stripes, muse and phil collins.... yes you read that right! All remixes of course! some of the regular tracks have also made an appearence as well as some new school beauties, set to make future favourites ultimately become classics. ok, so I've got a realy exciting show for you this week! Not only is it packed full of tracks that are sure to get you in that clubbing mood, but this week celebrates the launch of my new album, from which 3 tracks (including a special exclusive outro mix of Close Encounters, never to be heard again!) have been selected to lead the mix to an end. So what else can you expect from tonight's show? Well for episode 8, I have selected a handful of remixes of some of those great non-trance tracks currently doing the round's, and to see how well they add to the vibe. Hi, and welcome to the seventh installment of Ronnie Cross wednesdays. Its the first show of July, and any excuse to celebrate, gives no excuse not to host a special show to mark such an event! Generally I like to take you on a ride through euphoric upfront trance, verging onto hard trance and the classics, however this week I wanted to take you on a different journey. So what can you expect from this weeks show? Well for a start, its a progressive special, meaning each and every track has been hand picked for its own progressive influence towards the scene. We start off with an absolute anthem in the underground scene, with PQM's You Are Sleeping, and a fantastic breaks remix it is! After a few tracks we begin to up the pace a little with some harder progressive, as we may have seen at the start of the decade, introducing new flavours such as Groove Garcia, Leon Bolier, and the fantastic collaboration project between J00f and the Digital Blonde, 00.db. It realy is a special show this week, and not something your likely to hear from me again, any time soon. Thoe of you who remember the Pro series which I presented between 2004 and 2007, will be interested in hearing this mix, although it is a little different to anything else I have ever done, so expect a bit of a challenge, throughout! This week saw the summer solstice, and so finally its here, that part of the year that screams for a party somewhere on the beach, or an island far away. Some of you may be off to ibiza or dubai or somewhere else nice this year, others may be off to a festival closer to home; global gathering, or gatecrasher 15, there seems to be a lot going on this year in the scene. Well back on target, this week's show comprises of a few great tracks, old and new, kicking things off with an electro-vibe. I've also thrown in a few less-remembered/recognised beauties like McLachlan's 'Last Noel', Kai Tracid's recognisable take on 'It's Time' by Ferry Corsten, and the fantastic 'Evergreen' by First State. Now to my own admitance, my mixing has been terrible for this show, however its only been bad in some areas, so enjoy the mix. It honestly is a good one, minus a small few mistakes!
